    The format for these activities have been designed with the goal of creating an optimal environment to help each athlete reach their sports potential. Your athelte will be scheduled one practice per week. Schedules will depend on volunteer coach availability. A valid health assessment is required throughout the season.

    Through its volunteer coaching staff, to acquaint participating cheerleaders
    with the fundamentals of cheerleading. Fundamentals include, but are not limited to, cheers, chants, jumps, good health and fitness.

    Coaches are responsible for teaching, through cheerleading, the building of self esteem, leadership, and sportsmanship.


    Thank you for registering your athlete(s) into Flag Football Cheerleading. We are excited to assist your athlete(s) with their cheer development. This program is scheduled to have practices and game performances. All registered cheerleaders will be issued a uniiform that will need to be returned. Additional leggings under shirts may not be provided. A member of the Youth Sports staff will contact families within a week after registration closes on to share more info in regards to the season such as coach’s info and start date.

    Practices are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of October 28th. Typical practice times are between 1730-1830 OR 1830-1930. **SUBJECT TO CHANGE**

    - I will require that my child's coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth sports coach and that the coach upholds the Coaches' Code of Ethics.

    -I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

    -I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events.

    - I will remember that the game is for youth- not adults.

    -I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.

    -I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.

    Dress Code for this class is:
    * Comfortable fitness clothing such as T-shirts & sweats or shorts.
    No Classes: October 14 & November 11

    Parent participation is required for all Parent & Me classes. Children and parents should be dressed in fitness clothing in which they can move freely.

    * Toddler and Preschooler Gymnastics: Classes will work on basic skills of gymnastics focusing on body awareness, strength, movement, mobility and coordination. Lessons will be structured with instructional games, exercises and flexibility movements.

    * Gymnastics: Classes will work on basic skills of gymnastics focusing on body awareness, strength, movement, mobility and coordination. Lessons are structured with instructional games, physical preparation exercises and entry level use of gymnastics equipment specifically floor work and balance beam skills.

    * Tumbling: Students build on enhancing basic techniques and learn more complex skills in running and standing tumbling such as handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and back handsprings.
